Director Badri is coming up with next release ‘Thambikku Indha Ooru’ starring Bharath and Sana Khan. Seems, Bharath is trying to change his village boy image in this forthcoming movie. Music of the movie has been composed by talented Dharan who last made waves with ‘Parijatham’. The young music director has been going great in his last few releases. He has a knack of using right singer for right song. For the first time, he is using talent powerhouses like Hariharan and Shreya Ghoshal. Music of the movie has already created right buzz in the town.

The album begins with ‘Koothaadu Machi’ crooned by Bharath, Blaaze, Prasad and Suchitra. It’s a rocking hip-hop number and Blaaze has once again, blazed his way to glory. This is a perfect dance number with elements of rap and fusion. There is no doubt about this song being lapped up by youths. Sure to be a permanent fixture in dance clubs.

The dynamic duo of Hariharan and Shreya Ghoshal has teamed together for ‘Yaaradi’. A perfectly melodious and soothing song, both singers are truly outstanding here. You can’t help but fall in love with this song.

Next track is ‘Yennai Yar’ rendered by Naresh Iyer. A sober song, you need to listen to it in a silent and peaceful environment.

Up next is ‘Ore Minsaram’ in the voice of Benny Dayal. A peppy song with good rhythms and catchy tune.

‘Mudhal Pen Niyae’ has been sung by Javed Ali and Sindhu. A true romantic number, choice of javel Ali for Bharath seems to be a perfect match. A melodious and soothing song.

The album finishes with ‘Thambiku Indha Ooru’ crooned by Benny Dayal and Mukesh. The number has some foot-tapping music, catchy tunes and traditional beats. On the whole, this is an album for youth. Dharan has done a terrific job here.

Direction: Balaji

Production: K T Kunjumon

Cast: Theja, Meera Nandan, Suhasini, Sarayu, Saranraj

Music:  Bharadwaj

Bhardwaj seems to on a roll after giving super-hit music of ‘Asal’. His latest offering is ‘Kadhalukku Maranamillai’ which is also the comeback vehicle of producer K T Kunjumon, renowned for making lavishly budgeted movies before. The lyrics have been written by two famous lyricists of Tamil cinema, Vaali and Vairamuthu. Movie has been directed by C Balaji and stars Theja, Meera Nandan, Suhasini, Sarayu, Saranraj etc. Album has been blessed by the quality voices of Chitra, Shankar Mahadevan, Benny Dayal and Karthik among others.

Album begins with ‘Ekkachakkam Ekkachakkam’ crooned by Suchitra. It is quite a different song with touch of seduction. Lyrics are fascinating and song has a rustic Arabic touch. Suchitra has done a great job here. Bhardwaj should be commended for using perfect instrumentation.

‘En Idhayam’ is the next song of the album. Sung by Bhardwaj himself and super talented Chitra, the track has a classical feel about it. Lyrics again is very impressive that makes this romantic number a good choice for this Valentine Day. Song has clear vocals and soft scale which feels very soothing.

Shankar Mahadevan and Janani have crooned ‘Ishq Ishq Kadhal’. A completely energetic song, it is more like a mix of many things. You will find fusion of east and west along with shades of Punjabi Qwwalli. Shankar, as usual, is in terrific form.

The next track is ‘Kadavule Un Kovilil’ rendered by Benny Dayal and Surmukhi. This is more like a Spanish salsa in Tamil format. A racy number with heavy instruments.

The album ends with ‘Ennalum Winner Thaan’ in the voice of Karthik. Perhaps the best song of the album backed up by Karthik’s amazing voice, wonderful lyrics and commendable music by Bhardwaj. All in all, album does offer you some noticeable variety.

D Imman seems to be on a roll. In recent times, he has given one hit after another and here again, with Odipolaama, he is promising big step forward. He is a young, dynamic composer. This album clearly bears his trademark style of composing. Most of the songs have catchy lyrics and fast paced in nature. Movie promises to be a romantic entertainment. Most of the singers are relatively new and fresh.

Album begins with “Puchandi Puchandi”. Arathi Kankilar has crooned this song that has good, appealing rhythms. Music lovers are expected to lap up this song pretty well. “Ragala Kaara Maaman” is the next song of the album that has D Imman himself as the singer. Song has loud and groovy music. A very fast song, it has every possibility of appealing to young generation. The interludes are quite fascinating.

“Aruvi Pola” sung by Krish is the next song of the album. Another racy number, Krish has rendered it quite well. Next number in your menu is “Ading Ading” sung by D Imman again and Rita. Needless to say, it’s a groovy number that has racy rhythms. Orchestration part is surely praiseworthy. Quite an energetic song. Next song of the album is “Odipolaama – Junkyard version” rendered by Arathi Kankilar & Dinesh Kanagaratnam. Fast and furious is how I will describe this number. It’s a good fusion of ray score and hip-hop music. Everything about the song is totally trendy. Last song of the album is “Vaalu Paiyane”, sung by Anitha & Ranjith. This one is just an average number. Overall, the album Odipolaama promises to be liked and loved by younger generation.
